Life Update + Gratitude

Hi all! I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving!

I didn’t have a Chic of the Week on Friday because I was busy Black Friday shopping, wrapping presents & spending time with family! I figured you all were busy doing the same things so you wouldn’t miss me too much ๐Ÿ˜‰

I wanted to take this chance to just catch you guys up a bit on my life & talk about gratefulness. I know Iโ€™m a little behind because Thanksgiving was last week, but I think itโ€™s a great time to talk about all that I have to be thankful for & why you should too ๐Ÿ™‚

These pictures are actually from a few years ago & it was an impromptu photo shoot with one of my friends, but they turned out so good. At the time, my friend was a freshman here at ASU & I remember asking her a ton of questions because I still had no idea what to do with my life or where I was even going to college! ย As I was studying the pics, I also saw how bad my skin was & remember that my confidence was so low because of it. But I have changed so much since then & become way more confident, breakouts or not ๐Ÿ™‚ And I’m also so, so happy with where I am, so it gets better!!

I went home to my small town for Thanksgiving to be with my family. As much as I disliked living in a small town at times, I have grown to appreciate it & the friendships it gave me way more since starting college.

My brother is in Hawaii for school & some of my other family is across the country so this yearโ€™s Thanksgiving dinner was a little different, but we did get to FaceTime those that couldn’t be there in real time & it was actually really fun & reminded me that no distance is too far when you care about someone!! Itโ€™s so easy to get caught up in how different life is & start to miss what you used to have, but I think itโ€™s important to do the best you can in any new situation & look at the bright side. I love traditions & wouldn’t say that change makes me super happy, but Iโ€™m working on my go-with-the-flow attitude more.

Jacob & I are celebrating 3 years together in January! We are also turning 20!! Both are so crazy, but exciting at the same time. Sometimes I wish more than ever that we were at the same school & long distance can be sooo hard, but it’s worth it when we do get to see each other. I’m so grateful for him & the person he is in my life. And I always have to remind myself that, โ€œwhatโ€™s meant to be will be.โ€

I only have 2 weeks of school left! I have finals next weekโ€ฆ prayers please haha. But then Iโ€™m gonna go on a little road trip, spend time with my friends & family, work a little bit, blog A LOT, (blogmas?) & do all the stuff I don’t have time to do when I have school! Iโ€™m super excited to just relax. And maybe finally binge watch the rest of Pretty Little Liars.

Anyway, good luck to all of those having finals soon ๐Ÿ™‚ don’t forget to slow down for a bit & think about everything you have to be thankful for. Itโ€™s probably more than you realize.

What are you guys grateful for? Let me know in the comments or on social media!
