This week’s outfit is the first fall look I’ve talked about & I’m sooo excited!
The top is from Forever21 & I got it last season. Not-so-funny story; I bought a sweater just like this one at Forever21 & then after the first few washes, it got a huge hole in the front! I thought about trying to sew it, but I didn’t want it to look ghetto, so I just ordered another one. Not gonna lie, I liked the first one better! It was softer & was kind of cropped, but loose, so it was perfect for Phoenix winters. But I guess that’s what I get for shopping at Forever21… I’m still a frequent customer. And it was only like $10 so I’m not that bothered, but still!! Anyway, this one is soft & cozy too! I’ll link a similar one down below. The pants are from the LC Lauren Conrad collection. These are actually a recent purchase because I needed new jeans! They’re honestly kind of big, but that’s the style. I’ve talked about the booties I’m wearing before, but I’ll link a similar pair down below. To find the pants I’m wearing, check out my OOTW from a few weeks ago.
This was a short week for me because it was my fall break! Kinda ready for the semester to be over though…
I’ve decided to do a few things differently with my outfit of the week: one, I’ll post some outfit pics like this one because it’s hard to get someone to take my pic every week so this way I don’t always have to depend on others & worry about not having a look every Friday! And two, I’m going to start calling it ‘Chic of the Week’ because why not?! Cute & unique.
This week’s look is a top from Charming Charlie that I got last year. It is a perfect transition top for fall because it’s light, but also has sleeves. And when you live in a place that is still 90 degrees in October, but you still want to dress cute like the rest of the country, you pull out a top like this. The bell sleeves with a slit are really in right now too! So although my exact top is probably not available anymore, you can find a similar one 🙂 My jean shorts are from H&M which you guys should know already because I talk about them all. the. time. I’m not sure where my sandals are from because I think they’re a few years old. You could also pair this look with ankle boots or flats.
In other news, I’m currently en route to a cooler place for Fall Break! I’m going to spend time with my boo & I think we’re gonna go to the Grand Canyon! I’ve been there once & he’s never been soooo we’re gonna go check it out. I also might do a little Fall Break Recap on here if I end up doing enough cool stuff 😉
This week’s outfit of the week is actually from a shoot I did last summer! I never shared these pics & this is ~hopefully~ the last of the hot weather, so I thought it would be appropriate to share one more summer look before it’s all sweaters & boots! There is a super cool artsy district near where I live & it’s perfect for photo shoots. Also, Flashback Friday to my long hair!!
I don’t know the details of this outfit because if I’m being honest, I think I gave the shorts to Goodwill & went & bought that new pair I have that I talk about all the time. (Find the details here.)
But here is some photo shoot inspiration! Whenever people ask me how I am comfortable in front of the camera (trust me, I still feel awkward a lot of the time) I tell them to make sure to wear something they’re comfortable in because that will make the modeling part 10x easier! I had a lot of fun with this shoot because I wasn’t worried about a wardrobe malfunction or anything like that! And make sure to shoot with a photographer you’re comfortable with & knows your style. Just some tips 🙂
Happy first day of autumn!! I’ve been counting down to this day since probably July 1st! I have my pumpkin spice latte & Bath & Body Works cinnamon scented candle lit, so I am in full-on fall mode. And not complaining about it one bit!
This week’s outfit of the week is a simple look. I paired my LC Lauren Conrad jeans with a plain white v-neck from Forever21. (I’ll link the items down below!) I’m wearing sandals that I got from Kohls at the end of summer. To make this look more fall appropriate, pair it with booties & a cardigan if the weather permits. It’s finally cooling off in AZ & I couldn’t be happier!
Enjoy your weekend & drink all the hot coffee you want! Because that’s what I’ll be doing 🙂
This week’s outfit of the week is one of my favorites. I got it at H&M this summer & it’s so soft & comfy. And you guys know me; that’s all I wear! I love it for a long day of classes because it looks cute, but it’s not stuffy & is nice for sitting all day. I paired it with some denim shoes that I got from Urban Outfitters a long time ago, although it could be paired with anything. I was going to link it, but I can’t find it on the site! But striped dresses are pretty in, so you can probably find one elsewhere!
In other news, I’m currently tanning & sweating so bad! Fall has not come to Arizona yet, let me tell you. But get ready to see lots of sweaters & boots soon… Also, I got shoes today! I ordered them a few weeks ago from lucaandgrae.com & they are so cute! Go check out my insta story to see them 😉 @jaslynravenscraft
P.S. Don’t forget to let me know how many times a week you want to hear from me… xo
This week felt kinda short because of the three day weekend so that was nice! School is still stressful, but I survived another week so.
This week’s outfit of the week is super casual (I feel like I say that all the time?? But I like to wear comfortable stuff because it makes me feel so much better.) This is basically my day-to-day look, especially during the week when I have class. If I’m not in a look like this, I’m in a dress because they are so easy.
I’ve talked about these pants before, but they are from Old Navy & have a high waist which is the only kind of pant I like to wear. No butt bearing for me please! I don’t remember where I got the top from because I’ve had it for awhile now… I didn’t use to like stripes because I thought I didn’t look good in them, but now I think they’re pretty cute & flattering. My shoes are Steve Madden & I want to get more like them because I’m loving the slip-on style.
I’m about to go do some retail therapy so you guys will hopefully start to see some new things here soon…
I know this post is a day late & I’m so sorry! I feel like I’ve literally been running around this week to get everything done. Ever since school started I feel like all I talk about is how busy I am! But it’s true. College is a crazy, fun time.
As for my outfit, it’s the same pic that’s in my bio! (Go check it out under “About”) I thought I might as well give you guys the details since it’s there all the time!
The skirt is from Forever21 & the shirt is from Old Navy. The top is an extra-large because I’m currently loving big shirts! I know I’m a little late to that trend, but they are so comfy & easy to style. I forget where my tote & hat are from, but I know you can get similar stuff at Target!
Also, throwback to when I had long hair! Recently I’ve been missing my long hair & I think about growing it back out at least a few times a week! It could be because I don’t know a lot of short hair hairstyles so if any of you guys have cute short hair ideas please let me know! I’m having the hair woes
This week’s outfit is a light red color (the tag says “berry coral”, but I have no idea what that means) dress. It’s very light & an easy way to look like you put effort into your outfit when really, you crawled out of bed 5 minutes ago…I got it at Target about a month ago. No shame; Target actually has some really cute stuff! I paired it with my most versatile shoe yet for walking around Nashville. You can see more pics from my trip here!
It was another busy week for me. The homework never ends!! But this year I’m trying to focus on having a positive attitude & managing my stress & I think we can all agree we need to work on those!
Today’s outfit of the week is another look from vacation. I like to call it my “travel outfit” because it’s super comfy for long car rides, but can be turned into something casual for stops or last minute family visits. I don’t know about you guys, but when I travel I want an outfit that is comfortable, but that I can also turn into something nice because changing in the car is hard!
This mural is on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. There was a tunnel filled with positive graffiti & art that you could walk through. I thought it was a pretty cool idea…
I’ve been slacking on the blogging & posting because I literally feel like I’ve been running these past two weeks to get everything done. But I’m all moved into my apartment & it’s slowly coming together. My roommates already feel like family & we have so much fun together, I honestly forget to post on Instagram & check my blog. But I’ll focus more, I promise 😉
I have also been trying to figure out future posts & get them ready to go because homework will soon consume my life… I want to keep the posts steady & relevant so please, please let me know what you like or want to see more of! I got a lot of positive feedback on my last OOTW, & that’s what makes it all worth it. 🙂 So feel free to comment or DM me because I would love to chat & know what you think!
This week’s outfit of the week is an ultra comfy, but stylish ensemble. I paired a soft off-the-shoulder top with soft denim shorts from Forever21 & of course, the sandals I can’t live without. Some sunnies completed the look. I’ve mentioned all of these items in past OOTW’s, but they are very versatile items & let’s be honest, I can’t afford new clothes every week (although I wish). And since I assume most of you also can’t afford a mall trip every week as well, try taking the same items & adding a new set of jewelry or pair of shoes to create something completely different & unique. I’m kinda into the capsule wardrobe recently…
In other news, I put up my first blog post from vacation! I had a wonderful time & I can’t wait to share more with you all, but I’m focused on moving currently! I also can’t wait to decorate my new apartment & give you all a tour… but that will come much later. For now, go check out my Chicago post & let me know what you think!
