Happy Monday guys!
Last week I had the chance to attend a conference with Audree Lopez of the blog Simply Audree Kate! She has a fashion blog & she is also is a stylist, fashion consultant & editor in NYC. She graduated from my school (!!!) so it was great to hear someone speak that was once in my shoes!
I’m going to give you guys a quick low-down on what she talked about. It was a personal branding workshop, so she focused on how to build your brand & stay competitive in the fashion & creative industry. Resume writing, cold-emails, interviews, & internships were the main topics of conversation! We also went over the questions you should ask yourself in order to know yourself & build the most genuine brand.
Your brand is what you advertise with so-to-speak & who you are. It’s your “voice + vision + visuals”. It’s who you are, what you do, why you’re unique, and how you’re valuable. When I started this blog, I went through those steps & it really helped me decide what I wanted my blog to look like, what I wanted to talk about, the kinds of pictures I would post & all the other fun stuff! It can be a hard thing to break down your life into just four categories, but it really helps you get to know yourself better! Even if you aren’t a blogger, these questions will help you write a better resume & honestly, just live a better life!! Once you know who you are & what you really love, life becomes so much simpler 🙂
I recently finished the book The Happiness Project. Would you guys want me to share my own version? Let me know in the comments or DM me on social media. BTW, don’t forget to follow me on all social platforms! Links are at the bottom of the page!
It is already so hot here in AZ that I have been struggling to find something to wear everyday. I will always love the warmth & Arizona is home to me through & through – but I can’t say I missed this weather
This cute dress is from Forever21. I love that store so much because it always has trendy seasonal wear for cheap, but I try not to go overboard because I know that’s bad for the environment to recycle clothing so much! But I do usually splurge on one must have. As soon as I saw this yellow dress I had to get it!! I am loving mustard yellow/yellow so much lately & thankfully, it’s in this season! I paired it with my brown sandals & a black sunhat.
I also went ahead & splurged on Aspyn Ovard’s Lightroom presets this week. I had been debating whether or not I wanted to spend money to get a filter, but I am in love with her feed & personality, so I decided to go for it! I’m trying to get really serious with my blog & have lots of plans to improve it this summer, so every little step I take will help me get to where I want to be!

Happy Monday guys!! I am super excited about today’s post because breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I love the combination of sweet & salty options. On weekdays, I usually throw something quick together, but on weekends I like to take the time to experiment with healthy brunch recipes! You can probably guess where I got this idea – Pinterest. The pancakes are so easy to make & taste like banana bread! I added the vegan sausage & raspberries on the side, but feel free to add whatever else you want.
Ingredients: 1 Banana
1 cup instant oats
3 cups Almond milk ( or any non-dairy milk of your choice)
Prep time: 20 minutes
For the pancakes, put 1 cup of instant oats in the blender & grind them. Next, add a chopped up banana and 3 cups of milk. Blend together until smooth.
Place some batter on a heated skillet with some oil or vegan butter. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until somewhat brown.
Happy Easter weekend!
I don’t know about you guys, but Easter is actually one of my favorite holidays. I love the food & family time & of course, PEEPS & chocolate.
This week’s outfit of the week was taken last summer in Chicago. I love that city, & wish I were there right now! You can read all about my trip here! The spring semester cannot go by quick enough! I don’t think I’ll be visiting Chicago again, but I do have some exciting travel plans 😉
Anyway, I have done a previous outfit of the week on this same look, but I thought I would bring it back because it’s officially spring weather! I sometimes have a hard time figuring out what to wear when it’s so hot out, but a bodysuit is the perfect choice. It could even work for internships & jobs if you dressed it up with a blazer!
I hope to get some more outfit pictures taken this weekend so I can come back next week with some new inspiration for you guys! I have also added a “Shop this Look” section to the bottom of this post so you guys can get all the outfit details.
Have a great Easter weekend & don’t forget the reason for the season 😉

This is such an exciting post! I accidentally posted it last Monday too, but I wanted to edit it with the links to the products for you guys. I received a FREE box with some new beauty items from Target. And if you know me, you know I love Target. I spent all weekend testing out the products so I could share them with you guys!
The first thing I tried was the Crest Gum Detoxify toothpaste. It was a mini size so I brought it with me on spring break (have you guys seen the video??). It has a super minty taste, but nothing super special. I just liked the size of it!
The second product I tried was the Olay Whip. It says it helps with wrinkles & I’m not too concerned about that, but it was super light & my face felt firmer after just one use! I really like light moisturizers so this was a win.
I usually use disposable razors because they offer the best shave, but the Venus Platinum Razor has a super sturdy handle & my skin felt so smooth after I used it! I think I’m gonna ditch the disposable ones & start using this.
The last product was definitely my favorite. My hair tends to be oily & it lacks volume a lot of the time. I have never found a good conditioner that didn’t weigh my hair down, but the Pantene Foam Conditioner was so good! And it was really easy & fun to use because it has a pump so I didn’t end up pouring more than I needed (is it just me or does that happen all the time with conditioner??).
All these products can be found at Target & on target.com. 10/10 recommend them all.
I love doing review posts for you guys & testing out products. Would you want to see more product reviews? Let me know in the comments or DM me!
*thank you to Influenster for this box!
Happy spring Friday!!
This week’s look is what I wore to the Baked Bear blogging event (which you can read about here). I got lots of compliments on my shoes so I thought I would just share all of the outfit details.
The sweater is actually from my grandma, but the look is one that is very in & easy to accomplish. Go thrifting & buy an oversized sweater or, you could go to your grandma’s closet too! You guys will be shocked to know the shoes are also from her! She would be so happy to know that I love her style (& more evidence that I am, in fact, a 70 year old at heart). The shoes are nice because they are dressy, but not too dressy & have only a slight heel, so my feet weren’t killing me by the end of the night! I’ll link a similar pair here. The jeans are LC Lauren Conrad.
Have a happy weekend!!

This week’s post is a little last minute… but I think you’re going to love it!
On Friday, I went to a blogging/media event at the new Baked Bear in Gilbert! One of my blogger friends whom I go to school with, invited me to come & I was stoked, because obviously, FREE ICE CREAM. We spent some time wandering around downtown Gilbert before going to the event & I never realized how cute it was! There are so many picture opportunities & lots of murals. Also, lots of cute restaurants! We went to a fish taco place & it was super yummy. If you live in AZ or are ever visiting, it’s a must-see!
The event was for local Arizona bloggers & media to come & try the ice cream & then talk about it! (This is why I love what I do so, so much.) I had been to The Baked Bear before & it never disappoints. It’s an ice cream sandwich shop where you get to build your own! They have cookies, brownies & sometimes even donuts for the “bread” part, & then all the different ice cream flavors you could imagine! I’m honestly such a kid when it comes to that stuff & always choose something like cake batter or cookie dough, but they have basic flavors & more sophisticated flavors too. They have toppings as well, & you can have it heated up, which I always prefer because it makes it a little easier to eat because the sandwiches are huge!
The new shop is located in SanTan Village in Gilbert at: 2206 E. Williams Field Rd. #118. They have shops located all throughout Arizona.
This event was a great reminder to me about why I do what I do. Some days I get really discouraged & comparison starts to creep up on me & I feel like I’ll never get to where I want to be. But this is a reminder to pursue your passions & reach out, put yourself out there, because sometimes the best things come of it. (like free ice cream) 😉
Check out my cutie friend’s blog at tressesandtulle.com & her Instagram Catherine Hathaway. She was the one who invited me after all!! She takes really cute pics & has such a sweet personality 🙂

Happy Friday guys!!
I know the picture is something a little different, but let me just tell you how hard it is to find time to take a picture during the week & someone who is willing to take it. I seriously need a personal photographer. I never really understood the importance of having one as a blogger, but I am slowly starting to get it. Self timers just aren’t as great. I’m going home soon so I’ll try to plan a lot of looks so I can build up my content for the following months so I don’t have to bother my roommates or not-so-Instagram boyfriend.
For outfit details, there isn’t much. I actually did a post last summer with this exact t-shirt dress from Forever21. But I’m just here to say that they are still in, & still the most comfy thing ever. It is slowly starting to become spring where I live, so I’ve been working on transition outfits & bringing back all the old sundresses & tank tops I missed oh so much.
Also, don’t forget to check out my first YouTube video that I posted on Monday! It’s all about my Spring Break 🙂
I just got back from my spring break yesterday! I went to California for the first half with some friends & then spent the weekend in Flagstaff with Jacob.
Here is a little video documenting my trip! We went to Huntington Beach & I had never been to that part of California, but I loved it! This is also my first official YouTube video so I have no more excuses… right?
I apologize for any glitches or if you think it’s low quality… I’m new to this & learning along the way!
You can also find the video on my YouTube channel: Jaslyn Ravenscraft.
What are your spring break plans? Let me know in the comments!
It’s road trip season!
I just took a trip for my Spring Break & it made me so happy! I actually love car rides & find them really relaxing. I always need a good playlist though to get me through. I do a lot of long travels when I go & see Jacob, so I’ve made a road trip playlist that I update often with songs I’m loving. I thought I would share my current one with you guys!
On this link you can only play a demo of the songs, but I hope it inspires your own playlist! I love Spotify because it has almost all artists on it & you can easily browse & customize what you listen to. You can also listen off-line, which is a huge plus, especially when you’re traveling!
What are some of your favorite songs right now? I am always looking for new music, so DM me or leave a comment!
